A Re-Creative Photo Pilgrimage

I've been eyeing the lamp posts on campus ever since I moved here.  There is something romantic about lamp posts that is lost on modern, fluorescent, utilitarian lighting that is used most everywhere today.

But these on campus, they're attractive.  They are nothing fancy but they have their own charm, with their frosted glass and faux iron wrought frame they just have sense of class about them.  

I think I'm in love.  So in love I will share the other variations of this photo I took and edited. I had such a hard time choosing today!

I'm actually very tempted to do a theme sometime (and I probably will) where I take a picture of this same lamp post everyday for a week and see what I come up with.  I think it would be challenging and could also facilitate some fascinating photos.  

If any body has some ideas for themes I could try in this challenge I would welcome them. I can't promise to use them all but I really want to stretch my boundaries and grow as a photographer.

The site that proposed the 365 day photo challenge also provides some themes; it's called themed thursdays.  Tomorrow is my first one and I'm excited.  The theme for tomorrow is numbers! So it should be a fun challenge! Wish me luck!
